The department of Panchayat and Rural Development, Government of West Bengal has circulated a draft "Pancahayt Road Map" for feedback. This is an important document for local governments' future vision and their ways of activities. Considering its importance to SHG movement, SHGPF has sent is views. It had also 1 day Workshop on the proposed Panchayat Road Map in Jalpaiguri on 17th August, 2007. This workshop was organised with active support from CDHI, Jalpaiguri and Loka Kalyan Parishad, Kolkata. Participants were: local NGOs, Academics (NBU, local colleges), few selected people representatives, Divisional Level and District level officials of ZP, etc. |
