The Best Friend of SHG Members in Remote West Bengal

Swalpabitta Barta in short SBB published since 2002 is one and only newsletter for the SHG members in remote part of West Bengal publishes by SHGPF Quarterly. The objective behind the newsletter is to share SHGPF's own view with different group members, enhance their writing skill, build confidence and to make the periodical a sharing voice of the downtrodden women.

It mainly contains different writings of group members about their experiences, problems, success stories etc. Being a powerful and friendly tool for exchanging information in grass root and as a message carrier SBB is now placed as an inspiration of new ideas for development to SHG members.

The reach of the newsletter is now 10,000 SHG leaders in West Bengal through the member organization of SHGPF. NABARD has subscribed SBB for all Farmers' Clubs of the state.
