SHGPF is a
non- profit organization, It has come into existence in the year 2000
to provide a wider platform for sharing, learning and addressing common opportnities
and constraints being faced by this then emeging movement. Now about 4,00,000 SHGs have been formed
in different districts of West Bengal.
In the above context Forum has zeroed down on a three pronged strategy to address the issue of
convergence of ideas by different models and promoters and also augment the SHG movement in the state by:

demand from the networking partners, the Forum is delivering on the ground an aggessive, ambitious and robust charter of
